In an intimate atmosphere, which alternates between jazz and down-to-earth rock, the listener is drawn into the universe of big emotions. On the album we are introduced to the potter who is closing his shop for the last time, the black holes of love, life’s joys and strangeness. We become familiar with the sad void after loosing a mother, and we sense the indecision when we want more of the good stuff.
Tobias Trier’s lyrics continue down the curious and playing track with room for mature thoughtfulness. The musical atmosphere can be compared to the feeling you get when listening to Bo Kasper’s Orkester, Lisa Ekdal or Norah Jones. Tobias Trier has previously released two albums, which were both received well by the critics; Bag de blå persienner (2000) and Sandheden om Britina Castello (2001). In March and April 2004 he will be performing with his band several places in Denmark.

The single: Hvis blot jeg kunne sove

Tobias Trier’s third album ”Pigen som kalder” is being released February 9 2004 by the record company Have a Cigar, distributed by EMI. The single “Hvis blot jeg kunne sove” is the first sample of a playing, curious album with room for mature thoughtfulness.
The longing to go to sleep and not being able to do so, can make even a calm person move impatiently around in bed and wish him- or herself to dreamland. On Tobias Trier’s newest single this frustration about insomnia is being expressed in a catching play on words about all the things that might happen if only dreams could beat the never ending wandering of the mind.In classic story manner the listener is taken from a café, to planets far away and to utopian places where there is no war.
