Poul Krebs
For two months the album has constantly been in the top ten of the Danish charts. After just a month it went gold – and as the album by now has exceeded sales of 30.000 copies it looks like platinum is within reach before Christmas.November 3rd Poul Krebs and his band start out on a national tour of Denmark playing at Tobakken in Esbjerg. Tickets are long gone – as they are to most of the venues Krebs and co. pay a visit during the 14 shows of the tour.
By now tickets are only available for the concerts in Copenhagen (9/11), Frederikshavn (11/11), Greve (17/11, very few left) and Skive (22/11, very few left). Extra shows are arranged in Aarhus and Esbjerg and a number of new gigs are scheduled for the coming tour of February 2007
The November tour is also a hello to Poul Krebs’ new band. After playing with what he has called his “favourite big band” Krebs has now boiled down his backing to a very capable quartet joining him during all winter dates: Per Chr. Frost (guitar), Peter Kjoebsted (bass), Morten Buchholtz (keys) og Christer Jansson (drums).

TOUR OF NOVEMBER 2006
- A new album, a new band and touring Denmark
2006 has to be one of the most productive years for Poul Krebs. Earlier this year he anchored project and album called “Postkort fra livet” (Post cards from life) and his summer tour brought him to the popular “Green Concerts” in Denmark. Furthermore the busy musician managed to find time for a creative stay in the studio to record a new solo album titled “Ku’ den næste dans blive min?” (Could the next dance be mine?) – released September 1st.
It’s the first studio album from Krebs since 2003 and a perfect follow-up on his live album ”På en god dag” (On a good day) from 2005 which by now has exceeded sales of 60.000 copies.
As a foretaste of the new album Krebs released the single “Når det bli’r summer” (When summer comes) –which indeed brought promises of summer with it. The thermometer rose considerably and the song went to the top of the radio charts – the single only being one amongst a number of songs that could easily turn out potential classics – indicating that this album might be one of Krebs’ biggest throughout his entire career.
Could the next dance be mine? is for the most part recorded at Dansebjerg Studios on the Danish isle of Samsoe – a team of skilled musicians joined Krebs in the studio and the very same team accompanies him on his tour of Denmark in November: Per Chr. Frost (electric guitar and backing vocals), Peter Kjoebsted (bass and backing vocals), Christer Jansson (drums and percussion) and Morten Buchholtz (keys).
The tour of Denmark starts out on November 3rd at Tobakken in Esbjerg and finishes about a month later at Godset in Kolding.

POUL KREBS & BAND: NUL SKEPSIS TOUR 2004
”Just for the record, Poul Krebs is one of today’s best songwriters in Denmark”. (Kristeligt Dagblad).
“Krebs has regained his confidence, and this time he has written a line of fine and often quite sensible lyrics about the life that surrounds him and all of us. In general the album is musically a pleasure, and - apart from himself of course - he owes a special thanks to the guitarist Per Christian Frost. Together with the guitarist Bjarne Nygaard, Frost and the rest of the band deliver a solid and flowing foundation for Kreb’s peculiar observations”. (Jyllands Posten).
“…and that’s how the Poul we love rise again: The troubadour who can look right into our hearts”. (BT).
“I still have his unique concert on this year’s Skanderborg festival fresh in mind. He was at his best, and so is he most of the time on his album “Usund Skepsis”. (Herning Folkeblad).
“Musically the album keeps the same style. Easy-going songs with a lift during the chorus. It’s like all the songs have a lighter within. A lighter which will not run out of gas right away”. (Vejle Amts Folkeblad).
With his new album “Usund Skepsis” Poul Krebs has once again written songs that so well describe the life we are all struggling with. For the first time, this album was recorded with the band he has been touring with and celebrated many triumphs with during the last three years – and this means that throughout the album the music benefits from the ensemble the band has evolved from playing more than hundred concerts together. The album went directly as #3 in the charts for most sold albums in Denmark – and it seems that Krebs is on his way to receive his sixth gold album in a row!
In February 2004 Krebs & Band will go on a rather comprehensive tour in Denmark, where fans for the first time will be able to hear the new songs performed by the band that created them – combined of course with many of the old major hits written by Poul Krebs.
Live: Poul Krebs (Guitar and vocals), Per Chr. Frost (guitar), Bjarne Nygaard Nielsen (guitar), Morten Buchholtz (keyboards), Christer Jansson (percussion and drums), Lars Daugaard (drums), Allan Nagel (bas and chorus) and Karoline Kier and Ena Egelund (chorus).
The tour will start on February 12 in Horsens Ny Teater and will thereafter continue in: Herning Kongrescenter (Feb.13), Lemvig Idrætscenter (Feb.14), Magasinet in Odense (Feb.19). Tinghallen in Viborg (Feb.20), Aalborg Kongrescenter (Feb.21), Store Vega in Copenhagen (Feb.26), Roskilde Hallerne (Feb.27), Stadionhallen in Esbjerg (March 5), SCC in Aarhus (March 6), Værket in Randers (March 11), Torvehallerne in Vejle (March 12), Det Musiske Hus in Frederikshavn (March 13), Harmonien in Haderslev (March 19) and Ringsted Kongrescenter (March 20).

Poul Krebs – Usund Skepsis
-protest, ballads and new songs from the country where they named a small mountain for Sky mountain (Himmelbjerget).
On October 13 the new album with Poul Krebs was released. The title is USUND SKEPSIS – and it’s not wrong to say that it’s a kind of political comment to our time’s increasing suspiciousness.
Songs as the first single SMÅ SKO, the bitter TILSKUERNES LAND and the rough story about SONNY BOY are probably among the most harsh comments Krebs has released – but at the same time the album also consists of a very clear tribute to all of those who actually do make a difference, for example in the song ILDSJÆL, which he has dedicated to the Danish Refugee Council (Dansk Flygtningehjælp). On USUND SKEPSIS you also meet the story-teller Poul Krebs – which you can hear in songs like TROUBADUR PÅ TUR, RUSTFRIT STÅL, EN NOGENLUNDE DAG and POSTBUDET.
It’s only a year ago since Poul Krebs released his latest album, but new songs emerged, and after more than hundred concerts with the band he’s been playing with since 2000, the conductor had a great desire to hear what the band would be like in a studio.
Therefore, in May 2003 Krebs, his band and technicians moved all their gear to the Danish island Samsø – and during four days of intense work, where everybody gave their best and came up with a lot of ideas, the foundation for the new album was created. During the summer (parallel with the 27 concerts they had to give) all kind of small details and extra power were brought into the songs – and finally it was all mixed in the Medley Studio in Copenhagen in August.
