Kashmir
Art exhibitions, musical scores, band side projects and a plethora of other creative outlets have comprised the 4 years hiatus of Denmark's most celebrated band. In 2010, Kashmir returns with their sixth studio album and most vibrant work to date. Together, band members, Kasper Eistrup (vocals, guitar), Henrik Lindstrand (keyboards, guitar) Mads Tunebjerg (bass) and Asger Techau (drums) have created TRESPASSERS, a collection of songs as provoking as they are eloquent.

Once again, Eistrup has created a verbal forest set amongst Kashmir's musical landscape. Eistrup found himself traveling to Sweden, Spain and the United States to craft the lyrics for the album, in seclusion. The band settled in to their own space in Copenhagen for the majority of the recording process. Stockholm played host to orchestral recordings, written and arranged by Lindstrand. And the final destination.... New York City where the finishing touches were added to the album in famed Electric Lady Studios.

Midway through this creative journey, Kashmir called upon famed producer and mixer, Andy Wallace, to act as executive producer for TRESPASSERS. Wallace famous for having worked with the likes of Nirvana and Jeff Buckley, immediately accepted the offer and with co-producer John O'Mahony, set off to Copenhagen to lend their creative expertise to Kashmir's year of work.

The result of this collective are titles such as, "Still Boy", "Mouthful Of Wasps", and "The Pursuit Of Misery". And the true beauty of the album lies beneath the power of these stand out tracks.

"Angelic friend, I watch you sparkle from afar, with spikes and dents and a hundred thousands luminous arms. I wouldn't know how to find your exit doors. I wouldn't know how to stay and extract it all. You are the end of everything real. My longest lasting love..... it's you.." Eistrup sings to his beloved city of New York, over the sweeping and haunting musical bed in "Bewildered In The City".

"Pallas Athena" a musical painting... "The Indian (That Dwells Inside This Chest)" an epic journey through a faltering spirit, with an unwavering soul....

Kashmir are currently planning tours in Europe, the United States and Mexico.

TRESPASSERS picks up where the creativity and success of past albums; "Zitilites" and "No Balance Palace"; left off, and takes Kashmir to yet another plateau. The new album reaffirms and solidifies Kashmir's coveted place in their country's musical history; a sentiment other countries are sure to soon share.
